Textured fabrics and paint colours in natural hues of deep mushroom, taupe and cappuccino feature strongly this season – with stone shades adding graininess. The combination of two tones of mushoroom-brown in high quality paint make a strong statement, with the darker shade dominating the lower half of wall and the skirting board.

The horizontal banded effect is broken up with a simple handmade leaf stencil worked in reverse colours. Add textural fabrics to complement the look – simple full-length linen curtains and upholstery in off-white give the room its modern, airy feel.
