A physically soothing colour, soft pinks will calm
and reassure, and are the perfect complement to last
season’s chalky greys, creams and beiges.
This look is not necessarily feminine,
so forget frills and flounces, the idea is to create
a soothing, welcoming atmosphere with clean lines
and no clutter. Pick up on pink with accessories and
soft furnishings or use as a subtle backdrop to a
more pared down palette.
Avoid fussy paint effects and
go for blocks of subtle colour, for added interest
inject just a hint of pattern, then finish with tactile
surfaces such as washed woods, linens and textured
paints.
